Chocolate cigars are a great way to convey a message of great happiness. It’s the perfect way to say ‘congratulations’, whether it’s to new parents or to newly weds, or even on the occasion of buying a new home. By the time they cool, they would have absorbed the chocolate you coated them with. Add a second coating of chocolate and then a third coating. Make sure that the texture is smooth using your fingers gently on the bumps and ridges, if any. In case the strips need more chocolate, replenish and coat as necessary. Finally, sieve some cocoa powder and roll the chocolate cigars in this powder. This will give the chocolate cigars a realistic look.

This is the most basic chocolate cigar you can make at home. You could add nuts and flavor to the chocolate cigars if you are in a mood to innovate.
